Printing labels

Table of contents

Printing a label or tag can be done by performing the following steps:

• Go to Data, Entities and open the Article entity.

• Filter by the desired items and click the icon to start the print wizard. In the example below, the filter is based on the description "chair."

• Enter a description (optional) of the print job so that it can be found more easily in a later step

• Select a template

  • ! Label PW Markets:This template should always be selected as the default. It's for a 57x32 label.

  • Label PW Markets – no priceThis is a 57x32 cm label. The label is identical to the "PW Markets" label, except that the price is not printed on the label.

  • Label PW Markets – BarcodeThis is a 57x32 cm label on which your own barcode is printed instead of the Beeyond barcode. Note: Check that the barcode is unique to your product at the location where you are printing the stickers.

  • Label PW Markets – Barcode, without priceThis is a 57x32 cm label with your own unique barcode, but without a price. Please note that your barcode is unique to the location where the stickers are printed.

• Select the number of prints to be entered per item.

Please note the following:

  • This screen allows you to filter by product to be printed. This eliminates the need to create a separate print job each time. For example, you could first search for the description "Cat handbag" and then enter the correct number of copies. Then, you could search for the description "Dog handbag" and enter the number of copies. The print wizard will then include both items for printing.

  • By default, all columns are displayed in this screen. Make sure only the columns needed for this step are visible. This improves the print wizard's performance. You can select the correct columns using the "Select Columns" icon.

  • A maximum of 1,000 labels can be printed per product in a single print job. If this number is exceeded, an error message will appear.

  • A maximum of 5,000 labels can be printed per print job. If this number is exceeded, an error message will appear.

  • Using TAB you can quickly jump to the next number of copies

  • At the top of the screen you will see how many “entities” (products) are selected and how many labels will be printed in total.

• Once all items and labels are selected, select CREATE JOB. The print job will now be prepared. After clicking CREATE JOB, the print job screen will open automatically. This screen can also be accessed via the Workflows, Print Jobs menu. Note that preparing the print job may take approximately 30 seconds. Click the "Refresh" icon.to refresh the screen so the print job is visible. Also, pay close attention to the date/time to ensure the correct print job is picked up.

The print job doesn't have to be printed immediately. For example, you can prepare a print job, which will then be picked up and processed on-site.

Install the print app

To prepare print jobs from your workplace/office and to print labels, you need to install the Beeyond Print Application. This is a one-time step (not applicable to the sticker printers at TICA locations).

• To do this, click on “Download Beeyond Launcher”This application writes settings to the folder c:\beeyond\

• After downloading, allow the system to install this application via the pop up:

• Once the installation is successfully completed, a pop-up will be displayed.

• A print job can be printed by double-clicking on the file being downloaded, or by selecting the job and clicking the 'Print' iconto click.

The print file is downloaded by your internet browser. How this looks in your browser depends on the browser you're using. This guide will use Microsoft Edge.

• Click on [OPEN FILE]

• Select the <BEEYOND LAUNCHER> application.

If this option is not (yet) offered, select <MORE APPS> and scroll down to <Find another app to open .byp files>and then go to the folder c:\beeyond and select <beeyond-launcher.exe> and make sure that the .BYP files are opened via the Beeyond application in the future.

• Click the print button once the screen appears. This may take a few moments.

• Click the print button to print. After the print job is completed, the following message appears:

  • And: Select this if the print job was printed successfully.

  • No, try againClicking this indicates that the print job was not successfully completed. The print job will now be printed again immediately.

  • No, close: Selecting this option indicates that the print job was not printed successfully. The window will then close, and the print job will remain visible in the Workflows, Print Jobs menu path. The print job can be printed later from this menu path.

• Then close the applet log using the cross in the top right corner of the screen. Depending on the configuration, data is simultaneously written to an entity in Beeyond with information about the printing action, such as the number of copies printed and the employee who performed the action.

If the print service isn't already running, it will start after a pop-up notifying you of this. It may take 10-15 seconds for the service to start. Reopening the print file will result in an error message.

You can delete a print job by selecting the print job and clicking the ‘Delete’ icon.

If you need a label for an item, you can do so directly from the item card. Simply search for the item and open the item card. Then click the print icon.

• Then specify the type of label you want to print, the quantity, and a description. The description can simplify searching when multiple print jobs are issued.

• Download and open the BYD file containing the print job

• Next, the Beeyond Print Applet is launched. This applet displays the print log.

• Click the print button to print.

• After the print job has been completed, the following message will appear:

• Then close the applet log using the cross in the top right corner of the screen. Depending on the configuration, data is simultaneously written to an entity in Beeyond with information about the printing action, such as the number of copies printed and the employee who performed the action.
